يعتبر العنف المعنوي أخطر أنواع العنف،
لأنه يترك أثارا نفسيه عميقه وقد يؤدي أحيانا الي الأنتحار وغالبا يحدث في العلاقات الزوجيه والأسريه والمجتمعيه ، وقد يولد شعور بالقهر والدونيه ، ويتطلب وعيا مجتمعيا وقانونيا لمواجهته ،
العنف المعنوي هو إيذاء نفسي خفي ولكنه مدمر جدا ،
يتجاوز الأذي الجسدي ليلحق ضررا عميقا بالصحه النفسيه ويتجلي في الأهانه والتقليل من الشأن والتهديد ، والعزل والتحكم.،
وهو غير مرئي لذلك يصعب أكتشافه وتوثيقه مما يجعله مستمرا وأثاره النفسيه عميقه تؤدي الي الأكتئاب والقلق والأطرابات ،
لذلك يجب أن نواجهه بالوعي وطلب المساعده للتحدث مع مختصيين نفسيين أو قانونيين ، ويجب إحاطه النفس بالأشخاص الداعمين ووضع حدود لتعلم رفض السلوكيان المؤذيه.،،،
