كشف مصدر طبي بمديرية الصحة بمحافظة الشرقية تفاصيل وفاة العروس فرح مدحت، من مركز أولاد صقر، مؤكدًا أن الوفاة جاءت نتيجة توقف مفاجئ في عضلة القلب، ما تسبب في حالة من الحزن والصدمة بين الأهالي، بعدما تحولت أجواء الفرح إلى مأساة.
شعرت العروس بحالة إعياء شديدة وفقدان للوعي عقب انتهاء حفل الزفاف مباشرة، وقبل مغادرتها القاعة متجهة إلى منزل الزوجية، حيث تم نقلها على الفور إلى مستشفى أولاد صقر المركزي في محاولة لإنقاذها.
وأوضح المصدر أن العروس وصلت إلى المستشفى في وقت متأخر من الليل وهي تعاني من توقف مفاجئ في عضلة القلب، وعلى الفور بدأت الأطقم الطبية في إجراء محاولات إنعاش قلبي رئوي مكثفة، وتم نقلها إلى العناية المركزة لمحاولة استعادة حالتها، إلا أنها فارقت الحياة
