فى إطار مكافحة جرائم الحفر والتنقيب غير المشروع عن الآثار.. فقد أكدت معلومات وتحريات قطاع الأمن العام بمشاركة الإدارة العامة لشرطة السياحة والآثار قيام (مزارع – مقيم ببنى سويف) بحيازة قطع أثرية بمسكنه بقصد الإتجار بها.
عقب تقنين الإجراءات أمكن ضبطه وبحوزته (533 قطعة أثرية “تماثيل ، تمائم ، عملات معدنية”) وبمواجهته إعترف بحيازتها بقصد الإتجار بها، وأضاف بتحصله عليها من أعمال الحفر والتنقيب غير المشروع عن الآثار بأحد المناطق الكائنة بدائرة مركز شرطة ببا ببنى سويف.. وبعرض القطع المضبوطة على الجهات المختصة أفادت بكونها آثرية تعود لعصور قديمة فيما عدا عدد محدود منها يشتبه فى أثريته.
تم إتخاذ الإجراءات القانونية.
